The varnish just says "exceptional protection against Sun, Rain and moisture, and temperature changes" Doesn't give any quantatative data on any of that. I used Helmsman on my last kayak and my cross country skis and wooden snowsnoes. It seems to be very durable. Good stuff and cheap.
