Building the rear bulkhead

Today I put the rear hatch frame/bulkhead together and got it seal coated with epoxy. Also sealed the shear clamps. I will epoxy these to the sides of the hull before putting the deck on. If I were to do this over, I’d mount them to the deck as I stripped it by putting notches in the forms to hold the shear clamps. Part of what I like about building is the problem solving. The rear hatch will fit into the rear bulkhead inside the cockpit. This leaves the rear deck clear and water tight. The rear hatch will also double as a back rest by carving a bit of minicell foam and gluing it to the hatch. Here’s a picture of the bulkhead frame and hatch, click on it for more mictures.
